You give the invitation. He tells the story.
After purchasing the Story Gift, you receive the complete digital gift package.
You personalise the invitation with your dad’s name and your name, then send or print it for him.
His invitation contains his unique Story Gift access link.
When he opens it, he enters the private Before Me: Dad storytelling experience.
From there, he can move through meaningful questions and chapters covering different parts of his life.
He does not have to answer everything.
He does not have to remember everything perfectly.
He can skip questions, return later and follow whichever memories feel important.

Designed with privacy in mind
His story belongs to him.
Story answers and personal photographs are designed to remain locally in his browser on his device rather than being uploaded to the Arise Stories WordPress Media Library.
Arise Stories does not need to collect his memories in order for him to create his story.
The online system handles the Story Gift access entitlement. His personal storytelling content remains separate from that access system.
Because browser-stored information can be lost if browser data is cleared or a device is replaced, the experience also provides backup and restore tools.
How the gift works
1. Purchase Before Me: Dad
After checkout, Arise Stories sends your order confirmation email. Inside that email, look for Your Arise Story Gift and select Personalise your Story Gift invitation.
If you cannot see the email, please check your spam or junk folder.
2. Open your private Invitation Builder
The link in the Arise Stories email is for you, the gift giver. It opens your purchased Invitation Builder. You can safely open this link yourself.
Add Dad’s name and your name, then create his personalised invitation.
3. Give Dad his invitation
Download the digital invitation, print it, or copy the personalised message and send it to him.
Important: Do not click BEGIN YOUR STORY inside Dad’s finished invitation yourself. That is Dad’s unique Story Gift access and Dad should be the first person to open it.
4. Dad activates his Story Gift
Dad selects BEGIN YOUR STORY from the invitation you gave him. This activates his Story Gift and opens his private storytelling experience.
5. He tells his story
Dad writes whenever he wants, adds photographs if he chooses, saves his progress and gradually builds his collection of memories.
6. He decides what to share
Private memories can remain private. The story he eventually gives you is his choice.
7. A gift becomes a family keepsake
His finished story can be downloaded, printed or saved as a PDF.
What began as something you gave him becomes something he can eventually give back to you.

You do not need to install software on your dad’s computer.
The Story Gift package contains the materials for preparing and giving the gift, while the actual storytelling experience runs through the supported web browser.

An internet connection is required to access the online experience. His story content itself is designed to remain locally stored on his device.
